Eydie R. Glassman, President
Ms. Glassman is well- versed in business, divorce, employment, personal injury and municipal liability. Ms. Glassman has represented local businesses, cities and villages in all phases of complex litigation, and in various state and federal courts in a variety of scenarios. Ms. Glassman has assisted clients with the investigation of police misconduct, and currently advises local governments and municipalities with respect to liability and police discipline.
Highlighting a focus on advocacy, Glassman Law Offices maintains active involvement in the review and development of police procedures and internal guidelines in compliance with state law. Ms. Glassman has been responsible for full case assignment and litigation of matters arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, addressing harassment and discrimination based on race, gender, religion and national origin. Additionally, she has handled matters arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Age Discrimination in Employment Act, as well as disputes involving employment contracts, violations of restrictive covenants and civil rights-related class-action claims.
Ms. Glassman has represented clients before various arbitration panels, state and federal courts, and administrative agencies, including the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Human Rights Commission and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as counseling clients on day-to-day employment-related issues. She has assisted with the drafting and review of employment contracts, severance agreements, employee manuals, sexual harassment policies, progressive discipline policies, employee benefits agreements and other employment-related documents to ensure compliance with state and local laws.
Ms. Glassman is veteran of the United States Air Force, having served as a law enforcement specialist and on special assignment with the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Ms. Glassman was awarded the Air Force Medal of Commendation as a result of her significant contribution to the 377th Security Police Group’s designation as “Best in the Air Force 1986.”
